Quick time player keeps truncating my recordings? I will practise a screen recording with audio and only a fraction is recorded OR a portion is truncated from the heart of the recording? Does anyone else accept this issue? What are some alternatives to Quicktime for Mac that are easy to use. I want to tape my screen and have my picture in the corner to hash out what's on screen. Aid Delight!
I can non sympathize why people charge per unit this software so bad. Even if it is non supported for 64 chip applications, information technology is even so working for 32 bit applications (i.e. on Mavericks). Together with the two QuickTime extensions Flip4Mac (WMV) and Perian (AVI, DivX, MKV and others) it can read / play all common video formats. Everybody know the videos which play video and sound un-synchronized - this will only happen if QuickTime is non used.
Information technology looks equally if this app is no longer being developed. A compassion, for it was quite adequate 4 years ago... Its well-nigh hit proof of neglect is the disrespect of Apple GUI code (eg the light-green dot in the window bar for enlarging the view does not fifty-fifty work). A stain on Apple'due south image.
I don't think Apple is ever going to fix the broken Software Update in Leopard. iTunes will become updated to the very latest version, just Quicktime? Nope. It'll remain at sub-vii.5.five levels, which means you have to manually run out and get it because iTunes WON'T Work without it! What the heck Apple? This has been a problem for months! Anyone doing a clean install of Leopard could be in for a rather rude awakening, especially if they don't know enough to go hunting for QT 7.7.
Apple is a greedy company...they freaken charge you for using their QT Pro characteristic..i mean come up on...information technology should be standard....after all the money i spend on their hardware products. The program suck actually bad...everytime i try to play movie in other format..they ask me to install plug in which cost fifty-fifty more.... Anyways...VLC all the way...
On a make clean installed Lion system, I did something (that I tin't call up) with a video file that triggered being prompted to install QuickTime Player seven (like to what happens with Java). Is that familiar to anyone and do y'all know what can crusade it? Thanks.
Certain am glad that I kept QuickTime Player vii.6.six on my new MacBook Pro with equally new Apple external display. QTPlayer 7.6.half dozen lets me practice what QT Player 10.ane will not: play movies on my secondary screen. Incredible blunder on the office of Apple devs to create a QT Actor that will Not play movies on a secondary screen. Gee, thanks guys!
I think I am non alone in wondering what I become for my money and what exactly the difference is between QuickTime Pro and QuickTime Player 10. I am on Snowfall Leopard and the principle 2 things I want to practise is trim movies accurately and to capture tutorials form the web to view offline. It would be nice if I could also create tutorials, combining text and video merely that is not the principal reason for upgrading. QT Pro is non cheap and I really would like to know it it will work non just in SL only King of beasts in the futurity. Whatever advice?
Info from the Apple website: QuickTime 7.7 improves security and is recommended for all Mac Bone X Leopard users. System Requirements: Mac Bone X v10.5 through v10.5.eight
The installer for OS 10.seven Lion no longer offers an optional QuickTime seven installation. So I crossed my fingers and downloaded this, only the QT 7.7 installer wouldn't allow it to install in Lion, and the .mpkg installer won't even permit looking int3o it. Does anyone know another manner to install a version of QT that will work in Lion — and where to find it?

Used by itself, Quicktime tin exist a useful set of media tools; after being upgraded to its Pro version, 1 can edit and convert - a fairly good investment. It wasn't designed to take the same precise control of other standalone software; and its editing controls are imprecise at best. Perhaps the main flaw comes from the fact that VLCPlayer offers a more than comprehensive playback parcel - for free.
My Software Update told me yesterday that in that location was new Quicktime software available... Then I let it install. It says information technology's 7.6.9. I'm confused. I'1000 on a G5 OS X x.v.8.

There is still a 7.six.6 Version for Leopard. And: Mac Os X v10.5 Leopard requires: A Mac estimator with an Intel, PowerPC G5, or Power PC G4 (867 MHz or faster) processor 512 MB memory or more A DVD bulldoze for installation 9 GB of available disk space or more Some features require a compatible Isp, fees may apply. Some features require Apple's MobileMe service; fees use.

No more Quicktime for us G5 folks, I estimate. I'one thousand curious if anyone knows how many working Mac computers out in that location are nonetheless PPC? What's the per centum difference between PPCs and Intels? Are there that many more Intels in use, so that Apple has dropped support for their computers only 5 years old?
